The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic talked in Lusaka with the Vice President of Angola Bornito de Sousa.
Minister Selakovic assessed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Angola were very good and developed, recalling the historical friendship that dates back to the time of the former Yugoslavia.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said that the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic attaches  huge importance to improving cooperation with African countries, especially those with which we have been friends for decades, and in that context, the two sides discussed the visit of the President of Angola to Serbia and its significance for the overall relations.
The interlocutors also discussed the intensification of political dialogue, strengthening economic cooperation, but also cooperation in the field of education. Minister Selakovic pointed out that this year Serbia granted Angola ten scholarships for studying in our country, within the "World in Serbia" program.
Selakovic expressed special gratitude to Angola for its principled position and non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called "Kosovo", as well as for the strong support that Angola extended to us in international organizations.
