           FIRST DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF DEFENCE

ALEKSANDAR VUČIĆ VISITED ANGOLA (24-27.2.2013.)

                 

               During the visit, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vučić had talks with the Minister of National Defence Candido Pereira dos Santos Van-Dunem and a meeting with the President of the Republic of Angola Jose Eduardo dos Santos.

               Two ministers positively assessed the results of cooperation and disscused opportunities to further strengthen it in the area of building military infrastructure, military-economic cooperation, and agreed on forms of further cooperation in the field of military education. Two ministers signed the joint statement about the talks.

               During the meeting with the President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, they positively assessed bilateral relationship and cooperation which have long history. They discussed the further development of cooperation between two friendly countries in the areas of defense, economy and education of Angolans in Serbia.

               First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vučić handed over a written message from the President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić and conveyed his invitation to the President of Angola to visit Serbia. He also expressed gratitude for the Angolan support for the Republic of Serbia in the preservation of integrity and sovereignity of the country.

               First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defensc Aleksandar Vučić had a meeting with Angolan and Serbian businessmen, visited newly built housing estate Kilamba, on the outskirts of Luanda, Central Military Hospital, 101 armored brigade, Memorial dedicated to the heroes of the Battle of Kifangonda and laid foundation stone of a new military hospital in Luanda, which will be build by Serbian construction companies.
